What’s the penalty for stealing for a minor in California?
It’s time to make an example out of Miley Cyrus! While appearing on an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to promote her new movie, The Last Song, Miley told Jimmy a story about her, Billy Ray Cyrus, and brother Braison once stole chickens from a California farm.
While visiting the farm, they found out that two little chickens were going to be taken to a near by zoo and fed to the snakes that evening. Heart broken by the news, Billy Ray rallied his kids to become thieves and steal the chickens.
Miley recalls; “They were gonna take the chickens and feed them to the snakes at the end of the night and my dad was like, ‘That’s the most awful thing I’ve ever heard.’ They pulled me and my little brother Braison aside, and he was like, ‘Put one in your pocket Miley, Braison put one in your pocket, and we’ll get outta here.’ So we’re like, ‘OK, dad said we can steal chickens.’ So we, like, shoved them in our pockets and then we’d take them home to my mom… We were staying at, like, the Four Seasons or something, so we had to put them in the bathtub.”
The Cyrus’ got the chickens to their farm house in Tennessee where they eventually died a natural death.
