Celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Heidi Klum were on hand at a charity event in NYC this week to help raise money for the Elizabeth Taylor American Foundation for AIDS Research. The event, which was hosted by Parker and held at Manhattan’s Cipriana Wall Street  included an auction in which a portrait of Richard Gere, taken by late photographer Robert Mapplethorpe was sold to the high bid of $20,000. Dosomething.org has named Lady Gaga their number one charitable celeb of 2010! Gaga beat out Alicia Keys, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, and Taylor Swift among others for her generous efforts against such causes as the repeal of DADT, the fight against HIV/AIDS and marriage equality.
